What are some ways to treat a deep, under-the-skin pimple without popping it or using creams?
Treating a deep, under-the-skin pimple without popping it or using creams involves several effective methods. Start by applying a warm compress to the area for 10-15 minutes several times a day. This can help to reduce inflammation and encourage the pimple to come to the surface naturally.
Additionally, maintaining good hygiene is crucial; gently wash your face with a mild and chemical-free cleanser twice a day to keep the skin clean.
Another useful approach is to use an ice pack wrapped in a cloth for a few minutes to reduce swelling and numb the pain. Drinking plenty of water and maintaining
If you’re like me, you dismay at the fact everytime you go to the dermatologist they say don’t pop your pimples. And it’s to prevent skin damage and scaring, but I can’t help it. It want that blemish gone! And over the years of having acne, I only have one acne scar from a particularly nasty cystic pimple. So I’ll say my method works for those of us that can’t stand not popping a pimple.

To treat a deep under-the-skin pimple without popping it, apply a warm compress to reduce inflammation and promote healing. Using spot treatments containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid can help reduce the pimple. Avoid picking or squeezing to prevent scarring. Patience is key, as these pimples often take time to heal. For more effective methods, visit my Quora Profile!
That’s a great question! Picking can lead to hyperpigmentation and scarring, so we suggest doing what you can do to break the picking-squeezing-scab cycle.
Instead of picking, you may want to cover larger lesions with a hydrocolloid bandage to help draw out the contents and speed healing. It can help to prevent you from touching the acne lesion as well! A hydrocolloid bandage is great for emergencies, but for long-term treatment, a custom Curology formula can help you to meet your skin goal
Acne vulgaris (or simply acne) is a chronic skin disease that occurs when hair follicles become blocked with dead skin cells and oil from the skin. Acne is characterized by comedones ( blackheads and whiteheads), pimples, greasy skin, and may lead to scarring.
Acne occurs most commonly during puberty. However, people may also be affected before and after puberty. Although it becomes less common in adulthood than in adolescence, approximately half of people in their twenties and thirties continue to have acne. Around 4% continue to have acne into their forties.

To treat a pimple without popping it, apply topical treatments containing ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or tea tree oil to help reduce inflammation and kill bacteria. Saturate a small piece of paper towel in Witch Hazel and place it over the pimple. Allow it to remain on the skin for at least 30 min. Witch Hazel is an astringent; which means it will pull the oil from the pore. Never pop a pimple! It may be satisfying but it’s not worth the potential scarring!
Is popping pimples, taking out the clear whitish substance and waiting for skin to heal a good method of clearing acne?
TL;DR: Popping pimples is no good! It may seem like quick fix to an annoying problem, but it can lead to deep inflammation that will actually cause recurring breakouts.
The long version
If you are faced with an angry blemish—resist the temptation—do not squeeze or pick! Instead….
- Treat your skin daily to nip acne breakouts in the bud! We want to prevent new blemishes, not “chase the old ones around,” so I advise my patients to treat preventatively, and over time, you’ll have fewer and fewer blemishes!
- Cold compresses may help decrease inflammation for early “under the skin” inflamed spots. Green t
I disagree with some of this article but I’m not a medical professional. Personally, I don’t think it’s a big deal to pop a single pimple if it’s ready to be extracted.
I use to think that popping a pimple was the worst thing we could do to our skin. Probably in some aspects it is. I think it depends if you have skin issues. In the case of acne I wouldn’t mess with my skin at all. If it’s a single hormonal pimple, ready to be extracted and if done properly, I don’t think you’re going to end up scarring your skin or doing any damage. But that’s just my opinion.

- Limit sun exposure and makeup
- Try not to touch your face
- Do exercise and jump into a healthy diet.

Think about it, if you pop your pimples, you’re
releasing all of this biological garbage

What are some natural ways to get rid of pimples without home remedies?
The rumor mill might have you believing that dabbing some regular old toothpaste on your zit will help it clear up overnight. But, while it’s true that several ingredients found in toothpaste are drying to skin and might help shrink your pimple, this home remedy for breakouts isn’t worth the risk. A pimple is a small pustule or papule. Pimples develop when sebaceous glands, or oil glands, become clogged and infected, leading to swollen, red lesions filled with pus. Also known as spots or zits, pimples are a part of acne. They are most likely to occur around puberty, but they can happen at any
If that’s what it is, how you described it, most likely it’s not pimple, but calcium deposit. Pimple would hurt, when you press on it, it would be a cyst.
When calcium is not metabolized well, means its not delivered to bones and teeth, settles in the soft tissues. Under the skin, in the kidneys, in the heart arteries, in the brain. Prevention is, to get enough vitamin K2 ,D3, magnesium in your die
A pimple popper can leave scars if they pop ‘em. Keep that in mind. This is especially true of those who squeeze them.
That being said, when one sees a nice white head to it and it takes very little pressure to pop, one can try. However if one meets with resistance (meaning requiring more pressure) it’s NOT ready! Don’t try it.
Most will “pop” on their own or dry up. NEVER try to pop a blind-headed pimple though. Not only will it hurt but, it’s requiring some “drawing”. By that, I mean applying heat. One can do this by putting warm water with some ordinary table salt mixed in, onto the pimple an

Use the Best Face Wash for Acne- Washing your face with regular soap is not enough to make acne better. The best face wash for acne is effective at removing oil and dirt, but still gentle enough to use regularly without overdrying your skin. Look for topical acne medication ingredients salicylic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide in your face wash and use gentle, nonabrasive cleansing techniques.
When it comes to acne breakouts, never settle for quick fixes. Be mindful. Short-term treatments like beauty products and meds may seem so impressive at first but can lead to disaster later.
What should I do to remove big and unknown pimples from my face?
The first advice I can give about removing facial acne is do not squeeze etc. the pimples in an attempt to remove them. Squeezing pimples can spread the bacteria in the acne and possibly cause scarring. I had acne well into adulthood and have sought out treatment by dermatologists with up-to-date thetapies beyond commonly prescribed antibiotics. Those may in fact need to be used but if you are trying to find a good non-prescription program to start with I can recommend two available in drugstores that are highly effective.
The most therapeutically active one is a product line named Differin. This acne treatment was recently allowed in the off the shelf market and was formerly a prescription-only treatment. That should tell you that it is a very effective product. One of my four sons, three with significant acne, used Differin products on advice of his dermatologist to keep breakouts under control after his severe cystic acne was resolved. The second treatment line also on the over the counter market is from French skin care expert La-Roche Posay Laboratories.
These products too were formerly only available through professional dermatological doctors. This line features the Effaclar line of products that are excellent for treating acne. La-Roche is my personal favorite for my skin care products because they deliver results, are formulated to medical standards, sensitive and allergic skin tested and they are a good overall value for the excellent quality. Both Differin and La-Roche products are not the cheapest but it’s not wise to compromise on treatment especially for your face. Cheap acne products can actually make your skin condition worse. So go with the best and have success.
