Much of the internet has been left mind blown by the ‘shocking’ celebrity leaderboard for private jet usage in 2024.
While some celebrities may talk about how more needs to be done about climate change, they continue to use private jets to get around.
I mean, some would argue if you’ve got the money to get around by private jet then it’s a no brainer – considering the amount of time it’d save you from traveling via the likes of train and car.
We all know a lot of celebrities take use of a private jet – but a leaderboard for who does the most air miles has revealed some interesting habits.

The aircraft has spent a total of nine days, four hours and 39 minutes in the air.
And although she’s one a lot of people call out when it comes to jetting around irresponsibly, she’s not even in the top five of the list for private jet usage this year.
The celebrity who is said to be on top of the pile this year is ex Google CEO Eric Schmidt. Schmidt and his Gulfstream G650 have taken to the skies a whopping 493 times in 2024 so far.
That’s a total of 58 days, 18 hours and 18 minutes air bound and over 612,000 miles flown.
No surprise to the list is Elon Musk, and one of Musk’s private jets comes in second place, having taken a total of 320 flights during 2024.
Over 461,000 miles was done to achieve that, with a total of 5,105 metric tons produced.
Another unsurprising addition to the list is Kim Kardashian who has also racked up quite the air miles this year, coming in at third on the private jet celebrity leaderboard.
The SKIMS founder’s private plane has taken 236 flights during 2024, using a total of 464,320 gallons of fuel.

The leaderboard has gone viral after being posted to Reddit, and includes some random additions including George Lucas in 19th place, Dr Phil coming in at number 27 and Judge Judy at number 36.
One user described the list as ‘shocking’.
Meanwhile, a fellow Reddit user pointed out a potential flaw with the data, suggesting: “One thing you can’t differentiate in this data is that many jet owners offset costs by allowing their jets to be chartered when not in use.
“There are several services that let owners rent out their planes to others when they’re not flying. Some jet owners also choose to lease their aircraft out for short-term use, which is often done through companies that offer fractional ownership or charter services.”
